For over a decade, The George Institute has conducted creative and innovative health research of the highest scientific calibre. The Institute is driven by a desire to improve the health of people all over the world, through development of solutions to the predicted global epidemic of non-communicable diseases.

Our role was to create a new name, identity and positioning to better communicate the organisation’s personality, aims, aspirations and values. Naming was inspired by the relocation of the Institute to the King George V building, one of Sydney’s most respected and historic medical facilities. The identity comprises visual references to the Roman numeral for five, a 'V', a heart and the flame of knowledge. These elements combine to symbolise the core facets of the Institute’s activities in research, training and policy development, a humanitarian commitment to help disadvantaged people worldwide, and the passion to succeed in reducing the global burden of disease.
