Following extensive efforts to regenerate a unique freshwater wetland in the ecologically diverse Hawkesbury River, JDA were approached to design and produce a series of interpretive signs to aid visitors in discovering this previously inaccessible reserve.
Our commission commenced with site surveys prior to the construction of tracks or over-water boardwalk, to identify potential signage locations, prepare budgets and develop messaging opportunities.
To communicate the scale and ecological diversity of the site, we produced an orientation map which included a readily comprehensible graphic interpretation of the botanical composition of the wetland.
In addition, we created a photographic panorama of the site, as a means of educating visitors in recognising and appreciating the myriad of life co-existing in this wetland habitat.
